Burdock root (Arctium lappa), Herbal Remedy for Gout and Other Painful Joint Conditions.
Burdock root is used as an herbal remedy for gout. This herb has properties which decrease the high serum uric acid levels found in gout patients. The reduction in uric acid alleviates much of the pain and inflammation which accompanies this condition. The only solution for curing gout may be surgery in the more advanced and serious situations. But, burdock root may be the necessary herbal remedy for gout in patients with less severe symptoms.
